Portable instrument for detection, analysis and warning
The mobile gas measuring and gas warning instrument from the EX-TEC® PM 5xx series facilitates the daily work of gas fitters, maintenance personnel and other technical personnel. It can be used to locate leaks in freely accessible gas lines, evaluate the risk of explosion in a process, or determine whether toxic gases are within occupational exposure limits (OEL).
In the Structure application, the EX-TEC® PM 580 shows, for example, the carbon monoxide concentration in the room air and triggers an audible and visual alarm if the values are too high. Toxic carbon monoxide is produced by combustion equipment, e.g. heating system, resulting from insufficient ventilation and posing a risk to workers.
